  • Diet for the Next Two Weeks

So this week and the next this is my plan:

    1. No more than 1,300 calories a day

    2. No more than 10 grams of fat a day

    3. Must do weight lifting, squats, situps and leg lifting Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and  Friday

    4. Must do running/jumproping/jumpjacking Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

    5. No sweets except for one day of the week.

    6. Drink a alot more iced water

Anyone wanna join with me? I think the guidelines are pretty simple to follow.

Goal weight loss in the next two weeks - 15 pounds

I know its not very realistic, but i have to lose a lot of weight by June 10th ish, and I am determined!

    Today's Intake:

    -6 strawberries = approximately 15 calories, 0 grams fat

-iced water = 0 calories, 0 grams fat

-1 Cup Raisin Bran w/ 3/4 Cup Skim Milk = 307.5 calories, 4 grams fat

-Venti Coffee Frappucino Light = 180 calories, 10 grams fat

-Salad from Whole Foods (pasta and salmon, greek salad, some cheese) = unkown amount of calories and fat. I will predict 500 calories and 10 grams of fat. I'd rather round up than round down.

-Hot Chocolate = 150 calories, 3.5 grams fat

Calories total = 1152.5 calories, 27.5 grams of fat

Oops!! that was way over my plan!! I will do better tomorrow.

I must be strict. I must be disciplined. But also healthy.

    Have a great day girls!!

1 Peter 1:17-21 "Since you call on a Father who judges each man's work impartially, live your lives as strangers here in reverent fear. For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through Him you believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and glorified Him, and so your faith and hope are in God. "

  • Fruit and Veggie Fast!!!!!

I know i havent been on in a while, and I apologize for that.

Tuesday through Thursday I am doing a fruit and veggie fast. I am not going to be so strict. Like I might allow myself to have some fish, cuz i need some protein, and i'm still going to drink flavored coffee/coffee w/ flavored creamer if i want. But basically no crackers/pasta/bread/sweets/junkfood/cheese.

I am going to Whole Foods tomorrow. I will probably go before I go to my class. There is a Whole Foods right nearby so i'll stop by there before the class and do my shopping. I like grocery shopping. It is tres fun :)

Anyone wanna join in, lemme know!!!

I really want to start running. Last summer I was thinking of training for a marathon. Actually, I was very serious about it. But I never really started running. The thing is, I didnt want to run in daylight when people would see me until I was a better runner, cuz I know I'd look really silly. But it was so hard for me to get up early. I could go to the gym, since I do have a membership there. Actually, me and my mom are supposed to be going together, but she hasnt signed up yet. Anyway, i should atleast be doing sit ups, squats and lifting weights. And I could jump rope in my back yard. That is an idea. I also really think I should start stretching again. It's really healthy and i think my body is too tense.

So that is my plan for this week. Tuesday through Thursday fruit and veggie fast, along with fish. And restart stretching and exercising.

The new season of Tila Tequila starts on Tuesday. I watched the first season and really liked it so I'm going to watch it. I also have been watching Rock of Love. The Reunion is tonight. I wanted Bret to choose Daisey in the end, but I have nothing against Amber. And I've been watching Survivor. I really like it. This is the first season i've watched. Its a fun show. i like reality TV alot lol.

    Everyone have a great day!!!

1 Peter 1:13-16  "Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy."

  • So Tuesday night was amazing. Since my birthday dinner didnt work out since I got sick, we went to
Mon Ami Gaby again. I ordered mint tea, escargots, and smoked salmon (both were apetizers). I love ordering two apetizers cuz its the same amount of food as ordering a main course but you get to eat different foods. The food was yummy! I love smoked salmon and they served it with capers, which makes it really good. the baguette they gave us was good cuz its baguette, but kinda hard. oh well. My mom ordered this baked bread (really yummy, i think it had some kind of pesto or some other sauce on it, maybe garlic?) that came with a cheese and tomato dipping sauce. it looked like tomato soup, but it had cheese in it as well. I tried the bread but not the sauce. She also got scallops. I had 1 and a half of one. I'm not sure if i've ever had scallops before. They were good - a little bit sweet, chewy, very nice. But i'm not sure if I would ever order them on my own. We ordered dessert to go. I got white chocolate bread pudding. They put it in a container with vanilla ice cream and i think caramel.Whatever it was, it was good! My mom ordered chocolate mousse, and that came with these little round chocolate crunchy candies. I'm not sure exactly what they were either, but that chocolate mousse was made from real chocolate, you could really taste it, and it was yummmy. I just had a bite. I also wanted some coffee so we stopped by Starbucks on the way home. I got a tall honey latte, I wanted to try it, it was really sweet and yummy. I like. My mom usually doesnt get coffee at night but after I ordered she decided to get what I got.

So that was my birthday dinner

My mom wanted to go to sleep pretty much right away when we got home, such an early sleeper she is, but I stayed up and watched a movie I got in the mail. I have an account with blockbuster online cuz I love film and this plan is awesome! I watched a movie from 1962 starring Bette Davis and Joan Crawford called, "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?"

It was very interesting, and kind of terrifyingly sad. I want to watch it again, cuz I like to watch movies (unless they're really bad and not worth my time) twice before returning it. It was kind of hard to watch, but i'll get through it.

My fruit and veggie fast didnt work. I have been eating fruit, just not only fruit. I havent eaten any of the vegetables. I really need to eat everything before it goes bad. So I willl attempt to do so.

i might do that fast again. But i'm not sure when.

My brother doesnt have school tomorrow. He gets out for spring break. He and his girlfriend are taking a school trip to Egypt, and my mom is also going. So I am driving them to the airport Saturday morning - early, which i'm glad of. It will help me get up and start my day, and i've been wanting to get up earlier anyway, its just hard to cuz i like sleeping. They will be gone for about 10 days. i'll have the house to myself for ten days!!! woohoo!

I am taking advantage of this, and that same saturday they leave, i am going to focus on cleaning my room. I can clean so much better when I have the house to myself. I dont know why that is, but it is. I am also going to clean the bathroom and my brother will not be here to make it a mess. Normally we use diffferent bathrooms, but his shower is broken, so he's been using mine. I can deal with it, I just constantly have to move his stuff. So his stuff will not be in my way and after i clean the bathroom it is guaranteed clean for atleast ten days. Yay!!

When my mom returns from Egypt, we are probably going to do the detox diet for three weeks. This is how it goes:

First week - cut out all sweets

Second week - cut out all sweets as well as meat (i think you can have fish though) and all carbs (bread, cereal, pasta, etc. cuz obviously fruit has carbs but we can still eat fruit)

Third week - Two meals of the day will be the same as second week, but one meal will be like first week (no sweets, but can have a regular meal besides that).

This will be hard for me cuz i really love chocolate and other sweets. but i know i can do it!!!

have a great and healthy day everyone! Love you all so much!!!

I will return comments later on

1 Peter 1:10-12 "Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow.  It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things."

  • Hey girls!!!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful week!

I went to Whole Foods today (love shopping there ) and bought water bottles, fruit and vegetables. I am doing a fruit and veggie fast Wednesday, which is tomorrow, through Sunday, with water and tea onyl as my drink. I will see what I want to do from there. I might add on hot chocolate and a handful of nuts plus some crackers to each meal after that for five days, but we'll see.

I bought raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, bananas, clementines, nectarines, peacehs, plums, and some containers of kiwi, mango, grapefruit, orange, jicama, lime, pineapple, honeydew, cantaloupe as well as some other fruit mixed in there. Whole Foods sells containers of fruit, which is really cool. Oh, I also bought watermelon.

For the vegetables I bought tomatos (i think they are a fruit, but i still see them as veggies in my mind), carrots, celery, red green orange and yellow papers, baby arugula, and i think thats it.

This will be really hard cuz i cant have starbucks, which i really love, or chocolate, which i really love, or substantial foods (if you know what i mean) but it'll be really healthy and i'm excited for it!!!

    Have a great day!!!

    ~KATIE

1 Peter 1:6-9 "In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire - may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls."

About Me

  • I am a follower of Jesus Christ, my Lord, my Savior, my Sheperd, my true love. I am able to love others because Christ first loved me. All the good I have comes from God. My purpose on this earth is to give glory to God, worship God, love God, be loved by God, spread the gospel message of Jesus Christ to those who don't know His name, to be in fellowship with other believers and to be with those who dont know Christ, so that being in contact with them, they may know Christ.
